About Lucy
Lucy joined Vault Private Client in 2025 as an Associate Solicitor. Her journey to becoming a lawyer is both profound and inspirational. Lucy was one of the first employees to qualify through the new Solicitors Qualifying Exam in 2023, achieving a pass mark in the top quantile. She qualified as a Solicitor that same year and began practicing at JMW Solicitors LLP in their Private Client team.
Lucy specialises in complex estate administration and probate matters, developing extensive expertise in managing a high caseload of intricate, non-contentious probate cases. Her approach to sensitive, high-value estate administration is seamless – working closely with families and genealogists to guide them through the probate process. Over time, she has built a strong reputation within the private client market and has become a trusted point of contact for industry-leading experts.
In addition to estate administration, Lucy also specialises in estate and inheritance tax planning for families, individuals and business owners. She offers a blend of approachable and technical advice, ensuring clients receive clear, tailored guidance to help them achieve their lifetime planning objectives.
Outside of work, Lucy is an active member of the Manchester Law Society’s committee, where she contributes to connecting and inspiring legal professionals across the city. She is also a Business Leader on the Committee for Women in Wills, an industry-leading networking group dedicated to empowering women in the private client market. Through this role, Lucy promotes educational and inspirational events across the UK, aiming to raise awareness and challenge stereotypes about women in law. Additionally, Lucy recently co-founded PACE (Professional Active Community Events), a networking group focused on helping legal professionals achieve work-life balance by organising events that highlight the importance of well-being in the workplace.
